I wrote this in memory of our beloved brothers and sisters who were taken from us on September 26th in Bangladesh, Burma, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Maldives, Malaysia, Seychelles, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand. Let us always remember with Life and Love. Let us pray for their souls, and for all who are able please send assistance as the devestation is enormous and many of those effected extremely poor. Two organisations that are taking donations currently are the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and World Vision.
I have nothing to say
but sadness
as I walk carelessly
over your cold,
wet grave.
You were nothing
before to me.
I had not known you
until I heard
of the mighty waters
that swallowed
your bodies,
your dreams,
your love.
Then I remembered
the Friend,
and as I thoughtlessly danced
over your cold,
wet grave,
I felt the water warm
and your bodies,
your dreams,
your Love,
splash upon my body
and soak into my skin.
I have been told a tale
of Love calming a storm
and raising the dead.
Now this storm
has calmed
and you will be raised –
only please remind us
to dance and Love,
and drench us in your dreams!
